Lovely place to chill and take time put What didn’t it have? Staff were great, accommodation was lovely, private and very well equipped. But food is great anyway, so why cater for yourself? A coffee maker wouldn’t go a miss though. Stunning views in the outside garden. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the bar and restaurant areas. Would we go again? Yes most definitely.
Great pub !!! Great pub, great food and a warm welcome. We had a lovely lunch at the Winyard Gap and enjoyed it so much we went back the following evening for their weekly curry night. Great experience on both occasions. Will return again the next time we visit
Give this place a chance - make up your own mind! Were staying not too far from this place and the view alone from the beer garden was worth a stop!Booked Sunday lunch with friends as wanted to make up our own mind about this venue after reading not too favourable reviews. We had a lovely roast. All opted for the local roast lamb off the specials board which was delicious. Plenty of veg too. Lovely pub and staff where friendly and welcoming - only a little spoiler (and I do mean little) was the young lady who took our dessert/drinks orders (and wrote it all down) forgot one of the drinks, got one of the desserts wrong and forgot the cheeseboard- but we put that down to age and inexperience. Definitely one of those places you need to judge for yourself

Brilliant neal expensive cola Me and my girlfriend finished work tonight and couldn't be bothered to cook and thought let's go our and have a meal. Had two burgers and side of Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese quite possibly was the best I've ever eaten and the burgers were fantastic. The only gripe I could have with the restaurant was paying £3.00 for a can of coke when I can of coke cost 85p in one stop. But bar that the service was brilliant and so was the food. Keep it up guys.
A hidden treasure! You know when you arrive somewhere new and just know that it's going to be wonderful? Well that's how it is here. From the moment we arrived and met Graham we knew we were in for a special stay. Our room was gorgeous, the Inn is beautiful, and the views are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. Such a lovely, friendly, and welcoming place! Breakfast was delightful, and meeting ROSIE (it has to be in capitals!) was a rare treat. She's one of those people that you instantly love, and nothing was too much trouble. Our evening meal on both nights was delicious - this chef is definitely a keeper! So, thank you to Graham, the manager, and ROSIE, the boss(!), for an absolutely lovely few days. Don't hesitate to book here - you won't be disappointed! We will be back as soon as we can. Thank you so much! Ian and Carole

Friendly team and great Burgers We were just passing and thought we would stop for something to eat. The Inn has a great view and plenty of outdoor seating, it is dog friendly and the team offered a very warm welcome. The food was really good, we had burgers which we really enjoyed, good selection of local Alex and cider.
